Valley Industries was established in 1948 as a small coppersmith business manufacturing mainly hot water cylinders and chlorifiers. By the 1960’s the company had grown and moved into the sheet metal industry adding heating and ventilation ducting to its growing list of products. As the company grew throughout the years the range of products and services developed to include oil fired domestic heating units, radiator panels, chest freezers and stainless steel flue components. By the 1990’s the company's premises at 151 Kaikorai Valley Rd had been extended to cater for the newly established stainless steel department, specialising in the manufacture of stainless steel benches for both residential and commercial premises throughout the Otago region. During this period the company also began manufacturing flashings, spouting and associated products for the residential and commercial building industry.

Valley Industries has grown throughout the years to the extent where today the company employs 27 staff supplying an extensive variety of products and services, to a wide range of industries throughout the lower south island.

Under new ownership since early in 2007 the company remains committed to providing cost effective solutions to its ever increasing customer base. The recent appointment of a sales manager reflects the present managements desire to build upon the foundations of a successful business model, leading the company on an exciting journey into the future.
